On June 11th, United in Service Coalition (UISC) proudly partnered with the Northeastern Houston Redevelopment Council to sponsor the enriching Rain Garden Workshop at Trinity Gardens Community Garden. This successful gathering brought the community together, engaging us all in a shared commitment to environmental stewardship and biodiversity enhancement. The hands-on learning experience not only underscored the importance of rain gardens in reducing stormwater runoff and promoting local wildlife habitats, but also served as a stark reminder of how each one of us plays a vital role in nurturing our environment. It was truly inspiring to witness our community members embracing this knowledge, eager to contribute towards a healthier ecosystem. This workshop was a testament to the positive impacts we can make when we join hands for the greater good of our environment.
