Saluting Soldiers off the Field: Houston native – De’Cassalyn Sanford – Houston Dynamo and Katz Coffee Hero of the Match! Houston native and Army veteran, Private First Class De’Cassalyn Sanford, was chosen to be the Houston Dynamo’s Hero of the Match at Houston’s March 18th’s game against the Austin Flyers team. As one of the first women to go into a combat zone in Iraq, PFC Sanford’s military service and contributions around her community with Pi Mu Phi Military Sorority Incorporated was honored at halftime alongside the team mascot, Dynamo Diesel and her children.
