The United in Service Coalition’s very own Ms. Woman Florida United States was out and about as she embarked on a heartwarming visit to a local elementary school during Black History Month. Amidst the colorful decorations and eager faces, Ms. Woman Florida shared the joy of reading with kindergarteners, diving into the enchanting world of "Corduroy Takes A Bow" by Viola Davis.
The magic truly unfolded as Ms. Woman Florida addressed the hilarious inquiries of the young minds before her. Puzzled that she wasn't a birthday girl or a princess, her presence sparked curiosity and excitement, opening doors to new perspectives and aspirations.
Following the reading, Ms. Woman Florida graciously mingled with second graders, exchanging hellos, hugs, and capturing precious moments in snapshots. Her warmth and genuine connection left an indelible impression on the hearts of both students and staff alike.
This heartwarming event perfectly embodies our Pageantry with a Purpose initiative, conceived by our founder Tramashika DeWalt during her journey to the National Title of Ms. Woman United States 2023. Through pageantry, we have found a powerful platform to amplify our message and raise awareness about the challenges faced by our veterans during their transition back to civilian life.
By showcasing the resilience and dedication of our veterans, we not only honor their sacrifices but also inspire others to join us in our cause. Through community service, social engagement, and educational workshops, we empower veterans to reconnect and serve in under-resourced communities, fostering a sense of belonging and purpose.
